Thailand – Flood Situation – Update!

The flood water is advancing deeper into Bangkok from the northern outskirts which may cause more areas in the eastern part, including Bang Chan Industrial estate to be affected. Flooding in the west of Bangkok is uncertain and only 5 districts remain safe.



About 24 road ways in the city have become impassable due to severe inundation. The depots/ICD, Laem Chabang and river ports continue to operate as usual. Surrounding roads remain accessible.



There is still no discharge service for inbound containers which began on October 27.



Morocco – Strike in Tangier Terminal

Refer to previous announcement dated October 24, please note that Tangier Port is under strike again.

Turkey – Implementation of Reefer Cleaning Surcharge

With effect from January 1, 2012; Hapag-Lloyd will apply a Reefer Cleaning Surcharge for all reefer imports to Turkey as follows:



USD 55 per Reefer Container



Please refer to customer letter as attached for further distribution.
